Miho Ogai currently lives and works in New York.
Ogai’s work explores the effects of glass and light and creates an experience in light. It alters conventional environments and shifts viewer’s perception.
Ogai received her MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and BFA from Ohio State University. Ogai exhibited her works in public art realm such as the Nashville International Airport, New Museum’s Festival of ideas for the New City, andnNuit Blanche Festival. Ogai also exhibited her work extensively in galleries and institutions such as Urbanglass, NY; International Print Center, NY; TNC Gallery, NY; SHO Gallery, NY; Bridgewater State Collage, MA; Spaces Gallery, OH; The Sculpture Center, OH. Ogai has also incorporated a contemporary dance in her works and performed at Speyer Theater, and The Tank Theater. Ogai is a former fellow at Creative Glass Center of America.
